Open Road Coffee Company

Born in the mountains of Northwest Montana, Open Road Coffee Company was on a mission to deliver premium small-batch nitro cold brew coffee straight off the tap from a 1974 restored vintage Mercedes Benz bus—the vision: a taste of smooth innovation paired with a modern throwback aesthetic. As co-founder, I naturally wore many hats, including conceptualizing, directing, and curating the visual identity, bus renovation, and evolving brand, along with making buckets of cold brew.

The Insight

The concept of nitro cold brew was just beginning to hit the market, and while coffee was one of - if not THE - most popular drink consumed worldwide, we saw an opportunity that was ours to own. The challenge? In a sea of endless coffee options, yet targeting a niche market, we needed to make one heck of a tasty drink along with something else to set ourselves apart.

The Idea

We decided to build a lifestyle coffee brand centered around following your passion and doing good - for yourself and for others. We wanted to meet people where they were at - emotionally, physically, and tastefully. That could mean our bus parked just around the corner from your office, at your wedding day, or in the lobby at spin class. We wanted to be the fuel for others to be inspired to live our their most fulfilling life.
